Frequently asked questions
What happens in a session?
The treatment begins with a consultation. You then lie down fully clothed on a treatment bed and I apply gentle but firm pressure on your muscles to receive electrical biochemical feedback showing me where imbalances are within the body.
I test nutritional supplements against the area of imbalance to see what will help, massage with firm lymphatic pressure to clear areas of stagnation, and re-balance you energetically using meridians and acupressure points. We also talk through emotions throughout the treatment.
Treatments are powerful as we've moving stuck energy around the body so afterwards you can expect to feel relaxed, calm and light in mind and body. Most people experience gurgling stomachs during the treatment, this is a wonderful sign of your digestive system relaxing.
Is it safe for me?
Systematic Kinesiology is a gentle, holistic therapy that is safe for everyone. This includes babies, mothers-to-be and the elderly. While I don't treat or diagnose disease, it can be used as a complementary therapy alongside your current treatment or medication.
Why do you recommend nutrition?
In every treatment I find the nutrition that helps strengthen the circuit. It could be a mineral like Magnesium to help calm your nervous system, a specific type of Vitamin C for immune issues or a Probiotic for digestive issues, whatever your body is showing it needs. Taking the relevant nutrition is an essential part of the treatment process, magnifying the healing in-between appointments and supporting and nourishing the body.
How quickly can I expect to see results?
Everyone is different but the majority notice a relief physically or emotionally immediately after a treatment. The relief you feel will improve very quickly by taking the supplements I recommend and following the lifestyle advice I suggest.
How often will I need treatments?
It really is a case by case basis and is totally dependent on what you're coming to see me for and how long you've been experiencing your issues. I like to book a follow up treatment 4 weeks after your first treatment, then every 4 weeks until you just need maintenance sessions every three months or so.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your appointment is your own commitment to your health and wellbeing. Where possible, please kindly allow at least 48 hours notice to make a change to your appointment. I understand that cancellations are sometimes unavoidable but with respect to my time and other clients who may have attended in your absence, I ask you to pay half the treatment price if the cancellation takes place within 24 hours.
As a practitioner in Systematic Kinesiology, I am not a medical doctor and do not diagnose or prescribe medication to treat any disease or conditions. You are responsible as a client, to consult your GP to receive approval for nutritional supplements while being treated with medications and any medical interventions. By taking full responsibility for your own health & health-care choices, you are accepting the outcomes of any advice during your Kinesiology complementary health treatment.
